APRIL 15, 2026
As we move through 2026, I’m encouraged by the continued momentum at St. Augustine Airport. Our focus remains the same: maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-managed airport while positioning SGJ for long-term success. Across our facilities, operations, and planning efforts, we are committed to responsible growth that serves our tenants, aviation partners, and the broader community. This framing closely follows the themes in Pittman’s recent public remarks and the April airport newsletter.
Continued Growth and Investment
The full lease-up of our newly constructed T-hangars reflects the strong demand for aviation facilities in our region and the continued growth of general aviation activity at SGJ. At the same time, we are advancing important infrastructure initiatives, including roadway improvements, utilities expansion, and long-range airfield planning to support the airport’s future.
Recognizing the Team
This spring also gave us an opportunity to recognize the Administration and Maintenance teams for their support during Wings & Wheels. From setup and logistics to airfield coordination, vendor assistance, and visitor guidance, their efforts helped ensure the event ran safely and smoothly. Their work reflects the professionalism and teamwork that support airport operations every day.
Looking Ahead
As interest in the airport continues to grow, so does our responsibility to plan thoughtfully and operate with care. We are continuing to position the airport for future opportunities, including Advanced Air Mobility, while staying focused on the fundamentals: safety, service, and operational excellence. Our goal is to build on today’s momentum in ways that create lasting value for the airport and the community it serves.
